यत्तेजसा नृपशिरोऽङ्‌घ्रिमहन्मखार्थम् आर्योऽनुजस्तव गजायुतसत्त्ववीर्य: । तेनाहृता: प्रमथनाथमखाय भूपा यन्मोचितास्तदनयन्बलिमध्वरे ते ॥ ९ ॥

Transliteration

yat-tejasā nṛpa-śiro-’ṅghrim ahan makhārtham āryo ’nujas tava gajāyuta-sattva-vīryaḥ tenāhṛtāḥ pramatha-nātha-makhāya bhūpā yan-mocitās tad-anayan balim adhvare te
Synonyms

Translation

Your respectable younger brother, who possesses the strength of ten thousand elephants, killed, by His grace, Jarāsandha, whose feet were worshiped by many kings. These kings had been brought for sacrifice in Jarāsandha’s Mahābhairava-yajña, but they were thus released. Later they paid tribute to Your Majesty.

दस हजार हाथियोंकी शक्ति और बलसे सम्पन्‍न आपके इन छोटे भाई भीमसेनने उन्हींकी शक्तिसे राजाओंके सिरपर पैर रखनेवाले अभिमानी जरासन्धका वध किया था; तदनन्तर उन्हीं भगवान् ने उन बहुत-से राजाओंको मुक्त किया, जिनको जरासन्धने महाभैरव-यज्ञमें बलि चढ़ानेके लिये बंदी बना रखा था। उन सब राजाओंने आपके यज्ञमें अनेकों प्रकारके उपहार दिये थे॥ ९॥
