महारानी द्रौपदी राजसूय यज्ञके महान् अभिषेकसे पवित्र हुए अपने उन सुन्दर केशोंको, जिन्हें दुष्टोंने भरी सभामें छूनेका साहस किया था, बिखेरकर तथा आँखोंमें आँसू भरकर जब श्रीकृष्णके चरणोंमें गिर पड़ी, तब उन्होंने उसके सामने उसके उस घोर अपमानका बदला लेनेकी प्रतिज्ञा करके उन धूर्तोंकी स्त्रियोंकी ऐसी दशा कर दी कि वे विधवा हो गयीं और उन्हें अपने केश अपने हाथों खोल देने पड़े॥ १०॥
