How the day is decided

The Smārta householders' day by the Ekādaśī-nirṇaya: daśamī at sunrise (Smārta) or in the aruṇodaya (Vaiṣṇava), and whether the ekādaśī and dvādaśī run past the next sunrise; Smārtas by Mādhava, the present practice. The Vaiṣṇava day and the pāraṇā are on the Ekādaśī calendar.
