How the day is decided

Amāvasyā in pradoṣa, for the Lakṣmī-pūjā: on the second day only or on both, the second; on the first only, the first; on neither, the second ("bhāti": it seems right, when the amāvasyā runs beyond three and a half yāmas on the second).
