When the King of the Daityas, Bali Mahārāja, noticed the arrival of the two Lords, his heart overflowed with joy, since he knew Them to be the Supreme Soul and worshipable Deity of the entire universe, and especially of himself. He immediately stood up and then bowed down to offer respects, along with his entire entourage.

श्रीशुकदेवजी कहते हैं— प्रिय परीक्षित्! माता देवकीजीकी यह बात सुनकर भगवान् श्रीकृष्ण और बलराम दोनोंने योगमायाका आश्रय लेकर सुतल लोकमें प्रवेश किया॥ ३४॥ जब दैत्यराज बलिने देखा कि जगत्के आत्मा और इष्टदेव तथा मेरे परम स्वामी भगवान् श्रीकृष्ण और बलरामजी सुतल लोकमें पधारे हैं, तब उनका हृदय उनके दर्शनके आनन्दमें निमग्न हो गया। उन्होंने झटपट अपने कुटुम्बके साथ आसनसे उठकर भगवान्के चरणोंमें प्रणाम किया॥ ३५॥
