श्रीशुकदेवजी कहते हैं— परीक्षित्! भगवान् श्रीकृष्णसे ऐसा कहकर कामधेनुने अपने दूधसे और देवमाताओंकी प्रेरणासे देवराज इन्द्रने ऐरावतकी सूँडके द्वारा लाये हुए आकाशगंगाके जलसे देवर्षियोंके साथ यदुनाथ श्रीकृष्णका अभिषेक किया और उन्हें ‘गोविन्द’ नामसे सम्बोधित किया॥ २२-२३॥ उस समय वहाँ नारद, तुम्बुरु आदि गन्धर्व, विद्याधर, सिद्ध और चारण पहलेसे ही आ गये थे। वे समस्त संसारके पाप-तापको मिटा देनेवाले भगवान्के लोकमलापह यशका गान करने लगे और अप्सराएँ आनन्दसे भरकर नृत्य करने लगीं॥ २४॥
