Translation
Saintly persons become powerful by execution of austerities. Their consciousness is unshakable because they do not try to enjoy anything within the material world. Such naturally liberated sages accept foodstuffs that are offered to them by destiny, and if by chance they happen to eat contaminated food, they are not affected, just like fire, which burns up contaminated substances that are offered to it.

राजन्! मैंने अग्निसे यह शिक्षा ली है कि जैसे वह तेजस्वी और ज्योतिर्मय होती है, जैसे उसे कोई अपने तेजसे दबा नहीं सकता, जैसे उसके पास संग्रह-परिग्रहके लिये कोई पात्र नहीं—सब कुछ अपने पेटमें रख लेती है, और जैसे सब कुछ खा-पी लेनेपर भी विभिन्न वस्तुओंके दोषोंसे वह लिप्त नहीं होती वैसे ही साधक भी परम तेजस्वी, तपस्यासे देदीप्यमान, इन्द्रियोंसे अपराभूत, भोजनमात्रका संग्रही और यथायोग्य सभी विषयोंका उपभोग करता हुआ भी अपने मन और इन्द्रियोंको वशमें रखे, किसीका दोष अपनेमें न आने दे॥ ४५॥
