मैंने पृथ्वीसे उसके धैर्यकी, क्षमाकी शिक्षा ली है। लोग पृथ्वीपर कितना आघात और क्या-क्या उत्पात नहीं करते; परन्तु वह न तो किसीसे बदला लेती है और न रोती-चिल्लाती है। संसारके सभी प्राणी अपने-अपने प्रारब्धके अनुसार चेष्टा कर रहे हैं, वे समय-समयपर भिन्न-भिन्न प्रकारसे जान या अनजानमें आक्रमण कर बैठते हैं। धीर पुरुषको चाहिये कि उनकी विवशता समझे, न तो अपना धीरज खोवे और न क्रोध करे। अपने मार्गपर ज्यों-का-त्यों चलता रहे॥ ३७॥
