What is the Karaka of profession or work in Vedic astrology?

Vidhya is the purusha, the subject, and Amitra is the Vidhya, the object. The conjunction of these two celestial bodies in a person’s birth chart is said to indicate the individual’s vocational path in life. The term Karaka refers to the planet that represents a specific aspect of human experience.

In Vedic astrology, there are several different Karakas for profession or work. The most important of these is the tenth house, known as the house of career or public standing. This house indicates how an individual will make a living and define their place in society.

Other important Karakas for profession include the second house, which indicates personal finances and possessions, and the sixth house, which represents work environment and service to others. By understanding the significance of these different houses, it is possible to gain insights into an individual’s potential vocational path.

Vedic astrology is an ancient system of predicting future events and analyzing one’s personality and karma. The Karaka, or planet that governs profession or work, is an important part of this system. The Karaka of profession is usually the Sun, as it represents our creative power and the ability to shine in the world. However, other planets can also be strong influence on our career choices.

For example, Mars often represents our drive and ambition, while Jupiter can represent our ability to expand and grow in our chosen field. By understanding the significance of the Karakas in Vedic astrology, we can gain insight into our own career path and make choices that will lead to success and fulfillment.
