Maa Kalaratri Aarti
Maa Kalaratri, among all the forms of Maa Durga, is feared the most. She is the most dangerous, disruptive and violent when it comes to the removal of negativity, darkness, ghosts, evilness and demons. She possesses the darkest night’s might. She is the night of the black night, the night of the dying.
She is both Maharatri (the great night of periodic dissolution) and Moharatri (the night of delusion). When destruction arrives at the end of time, the Goddess transforms into Kalaratri, who swallows everything of time and leaves nothing behind.
According to a tale, a demon named Durgasur wanted to destroy the earth, so he drove all the devas out of Swarg and stole the four Vedas. When Parvati learned of this, she created Kalaratri and told her to warn Durgasur. When Kalratri appeared as a messenger, Durgasur’s guards attempted to capture her. Kalaratri then took on a massive shape and gave him the warning. When Durgasur attempted to invade Kailash, Parvati fought him and slew him, earning her the name Durga. Kaalratri acts as an agent for Parvati, delivering the message and warning to Durgasur.
Maa Kalratri is an example of mother nature who can destroy what she has created. She is referred to as the death of the time. She is the controller of perfection, purity, death, time, birth and life. She is the seventh incarnation of Goddess Durga. She is the protector of her devotees from evil.
