Maa Chandraghanta Aarti Lyrics | Maa Chandraghanta Aarti Lyrics in English

Maa Chandraghanta Aarti

Maa Chandraghanta is the third reincarnation of the Goddess Durga. Her name portrays an image as its meaning, one with a half-moon shaped like a bell which means she wears a half-moon on her forehead with a Bell on it, as well as a third eye in the centre of her forehead. Her skin has a golden colour. Lord Shiva admires Chandraghanta’s form for its beauty, charm, and grace. She is ready to fight demons at any given time and her third eye is always opened.

The thundering boom emitted by her bell is said to have crippled and stunned the demons and according to a popular belief, the sound of her moon-bell keeps evil spirits and terrible omens at bay from her believers on the third day of Navratri, which is devoted to her. Chandrakhanda, Chandika, and Rannchandi are some of her other names. She rides on a Tiger. She signifies justice in everyone’s life.

People are said to be rewarded for their grace, boldness, and courage by her. All of the devotees’ sins, distress, hardships, mental difficulties, and spiritual obstacles are removed by her grace. She has ten arms, in which she carries Trishul, Japa mala, lotus, Gada, Dhanush-Baan, Kamandal, Ghanta, Sword and Kalash, whereas one of her hands will be positioned in a blessing pose. She is the significator of bravery and courage.

Despite being equipped with different weapons, Goddess Chandraghanta is equally compassionate, benevolent, and represents motherly traits to her worshippers in this form of Durga. While the widespread destruction of demons was the primary cause of this form, her very vicious depiction gives hope that praying to her can grant fearlessness. She is, on the whole, the epitome of calmness.
