Aarti is a devotional hymn dedicated to a particular deity to offer prayers and seek blessings. Lord Shiva is the most powerful Hindu deity and is worshipped by almost everyone for his strong effects.   • Offerings of Dhatura as flowers should be done  to please the almighty.

Pooja Vidhi for Shivji Aarti

  • Place an oil lamp on your home’s altar and light it.
  • As many times as you can, chant “Om Namah Shivaya.”
  • Invoke the name of Lord Shiva.
  • Begin the puja by conducting the Shiva Lingam of Lord Shiva’s idol’s abhishekam.
  • The order for abhishek is water, Gangajal, milk, honey, ghee, curd, water.
  • Using a clean piece of cloth, gently clean the idol.
  • After that, present the vilva leaves, datura flowers and fruits, and madar flowers, among other things.
  • Offer your salutations and conclude the puja by singing the Shivji aarti with an ignited camphor.
  • Ring the bell as you do the aarti.

Pooja Mantra or Dhyan Mantra

  • The Pooja Mantra or Jaap (Dhyan Mantra) holds significance for the meditating purposes and peace in the spiritual lifestyle of the devotee.
  • One may recite the mantra for however long with a rosary (mala) with a count of 108 times or in any other suitable way as long as the purpose is to serve the spiritual path in oneself.
  • The mantra can be recited anytime of the day, and after the completion of the aarti or pooja, one may sit on the aasan in front of the God and recite the Jaap Mantra for the benefits of inner and mental peace.
  • The two mantras that can be recited for Jaap/Dhyaan are : “Om Namo Bhagavate Rudraya”, and “Om Trayambakam Yajamahe Sugandhim Pushti Vardhanam, Urvarukamiva Bandhanaan Mrityormukshi Mamritaat”.
