Maa Saraswati Aarti
Maa Saraswati is known as the pious embodiment of wisdom, knowledge, music, art, singing and learning. Her four arms represent mind, consciousness, intellect and ego. She is the human form of the river Saraswati and is worshipped along with Lord Ganesha and Goddess Lakshmi for the blessings of wisdom, wealth and prosperity.
Goddess Saraswati is known as the creator of the musical instrument vina and Sanskrit language according to Hindu mythology. Maa Saraswati has a calming and centring attitude and is recognised for bringing order out of chaos. Maa Sarawati, unlike other Goddesses, refuses to have children. She is a symbol of distinctiveness, independence, and defiance.
Through poetry, literature, and music, Maa Saraswati continues to encourage the arts and intellectual rigour. Maa Saraswati is regarded as a patron of the arts and sciences. Maa Saraswati aarti is a perfect parody of melody, stability and peacefulness.
Maa Saraswati is never ornamented with heavy diamonds since she revokes earthly pleasures. Instead, she holds symbolic artefacts in her hands: a manuscript that signifies the wisdom of books and constant study; two hands carry the veena, a stringed instrument that represents the unification of one’s mind and body; and prayer beads that indicate spiritual knowledge.
