- In Shree Krishna temple, one can perform aarti in the morning and evening time with offerings of prasadams and fresh flowers of any kind (recommended Tulsi leaves and any white flower).
- At a temple or home, provided there is an idol of Shri Krishna, one should offer flowers to the feet of Krishna before performing the aarti.
- One should blow shankh and ring a bell while performing the aarti.

- Shri Krishna Pooja should be started with pakshal (washing) of the idol of Shri Krishna with gangajal, early in the morning
- After the pakshal, offer new clothes, flowers and jewelry to the Lord Krishna.
- After this step one should offer bhog or prasad made of dairy products to the almighty.
- One can end the pooja at this step or proceed with a milk bath, 108 mantra jaap and then aarti.
- One should not worship with foul mouth (eaten before the pooja), in temples or at home.

- The Pooja Mantra or Jaap (Dhyan Mantra) hold significance for the meditating purposes and peace in the spiritual lifestyle of the devotee.
